We survived the summer.
We survived the first few weeks of school.
Whew! I’m just now catching my breath. It’s a been a wild ride!
I have missed my friends in the DOC and blogging tremendously. I’m excited to finally have the time to write and read again.
I want to give a shout out to magnificent Misty, marvelous Meri and wonderful Wendy. I feel fortunate to count them among my friends, and, I’m grateful for their terrific guest posts. Thank you Misty, Meri and Wendy!!!! Love you!!!
I thought I’d be able to return to blogging after we returned from vacation, but that obviously didn’t happen. Kudos to those of you who’re able to blog when your kids are home from school and when you’re prepping for their return to school! I couldn’t do it. When I wasn’t spinning in circles shopping for school supplies and uniforms and updating all of our diabetes documents, or breaking up sisterly and brotherly bickering, I found myself just wanting to savor every moment with my three little loves. Before I know it, they won’t want to spend any time with me. So we got in some good mama-kiddo time while we could.
And ever since, I’ve been overwhelmed with the start of school. I’m beginning to wonder whether Madeline and I will make it through fourth grade! What a big transition it is to go from third to fourth! Oy!
Speaking of school, last year, I received a lot of requests for the letter we send to the parents of Jack’s classmates. I also got a lot of good feedback on my lanyard tag and substitute teacher letter posts.
So I created a new tab on the blog for “school stuff.” That way all of my school-related posts can be found in one place.
And, even though many of you have already sent your kids back to school, I’m going to share more D docs. If I help even just one more person, then it will have been worth the blog space.
